My boyfriend and I have had our share of hard times. Actually, we have said if we make it to the altar it calls for the biggest celebration ever. God has allowed some very tough issues to surface and interestingly, the only way we work as a couple is if we are both walking with the Lord. So when one of us is wandering or mad at God etc, and we bring those needs to the other person it gets choppy. God had been faithful through it so far though, but somewhere around 8 or 9 months of our dating, our relationship was just always hard and we couldn't figure it out. We just kept hurting each other and we weren't communicating effectively. This song came out of that time when I cried almost everyday and finally started to say "i want out. If this is how it's going to be then I can't do it." I brought these feelings of helplessness before God and He kept telling me to stay with him, that we had things to learn. Needless to say it was a very hard time but it's got this song to show for it, and it reminds me whenever things get rough that I'm where I'm supposed to be and God will use my pain to teach me.
